One of the things keepin' me busy this summer...

I am fully aware that I am constantly talking about how busy I am, but hardly ever talking much about what's keeping me busy SO...

Here are some pics of one of the aforementioned things...

At our church we have a children's church/Sunday school and outreach program called Club Genesis. As evidenced by the name and the pics you're about to look at, you may already be able to tell that the program is space-themed and the kiddos LOVE IT!

On Sundays it serves as a place for the kids of our church to come together and learn about God in a fun and interesting way via puppets, songs, videos, live teachers, etc.

On SATURDAYS however, the focus is on reaching out to the lost and hurting kids of our city. Busses are sent out across the city to pick kids up, bring them to Club G where they are told that Jesus loves them and that their future is bright. They are given truth and love as well as delicious treats (sometimes the only food some of the kids have at any given point during the week) and are then taken back home, all free of charge.

These pics are from one of our summer outreaches where we walked in our annual "Rivercade" parade. It was hot but TOTALLY worth passing out candy and flyers and seeing all the smiling faces of kids who are currently a part of our program, as well as the excitement of those who soon will be :)

The side of out "float"...

Great minds walk in parades with similar footwear...

Ava and Como...

My dear friend Ana and her bug-eyed, noseless friend Eva...

"Captain Katy": our fearless leader...

The whole parade crew...

Happily,
Emily
