Drumrolllllllll pleeeeease...

Well folks, I've been thinking for a while now that it's high time I do a little jewelry GIVE-AWAY 'round these parts... and I've officially decided that the "high time" has come...

Here's the deal... I would like to give away a "Conversation Piece" customized for yours truly! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and include whatever fun or clever word/phrase/quote etc you'd want your bubble to say... the cleverer (yes, that is ACTUALLY a word!) the better!

As I'm not sure how often people pop in to read my blog, (I would HATE the thought of someone being left out if I cut the contest off on Wednesday, and Thursday was their "get cozy with a cup of Raspberry Pomegranate green tea and catch up on blogs" day) I'm gonna stretch the contest out over the course of this coming week, culminating in a winner drawn at random 1 week from today, Friday, March 6th. All comments must be made by midnight (central standard time) on Thursday, March 5th. The lucky gal (or gent - you never know!) will win the pin and I shall stamp the phrase onto it that they included with their comment.

***An added bonus... I'd like to use this as an opportunity to snag some fresh material so, for any other "especially clever" quotes/phrases/etc that I happen to use in the future (with your permission of course) on any of my pieces, that quote's author/submitter will receive a 10% discount off any 1 piece of jewelry, be it in my shop, or custom order. Just keep that in mind when the brain-wheels start-a-turnin! :)***

Alrighty! I think that's that for now - may the creative juices begin to flow on my count...

GO!!!

Happily,
Emily

PS I've had a few people ask me how many words they can use... I don't really know what the answer to that is except to say that I have a few different size stamps... the one you see pictured in the above photo and a smaller set that would allow for more words. Just put down whatever you want and if you win and I have concerns about it fitting, I'll contact you and we'll figure something out.

Thank you so much for your generosity. Sadly, I am swamped at work today and therefore unable to think of anything clever to say (this happens more often than I would care to admit). I will pop back tomorrow after I have invibed in coffee and muffins and my brain is properly functioning. Thanks again and have a good weekend, susie

Emily, I bounced over to your blog after reading on Jillians site that you did not feel "appreciated" for your artistic talent in your neck if the woods. I tought I would come look and OH My word, were those foks walking around blindfolded? Your work is wonderful! (Now I discover that I stumbled across a give-away! Lucky Me!)
Go give it another try girl. As we say in the local farmers market, where I spend my Sundays, "you've got to have some bad days to really appreicate the good ones!"
Here is my favorite word..."Believe"!

You can use Sophie's two favorite words -- "Because" and "Cozy". Emily you are very much appreciated and loved.

In the best Chris voice I can muster up, I would say

Hi Emily- Been keeping my eye on your shop (still waiting to see if those ocean jasper earrings from your platter of goodies appear in the shop) and blog for a while. Thanks for this fun opportunity-- my word of the moment is "Cerebrate"

hey emily!
great idea!...you know you're welcome in sunny and mild canada anytime to sell your wares! (the "sunny and mild' was sarcasm-- it's minus a million right now!)..you are much loved on this side of the border too!...
my word was (also) "seriously?"
or "Really?!"..i say these a lot (and now i notice my 5yr. old does too!)She also says, "by accidently" which secretly cracks me up so, i dont correct her!

Hey Elliott...I came back on to change mine to "Really?", I was thinking about that since it is the name of my blog! You get it!
Happy Sunday everyone!

Ideas I have decided not to submit-

-Objects under this pin are larger than they appear
-There once a man from Nantucket
-I'm with stupid

More thought may be required

Hey Emily! I check for new blogs from you every day!!! I love hearing about your life. As far as my ideas go I would really like: "Because I said so" but that might be too long. My other idea is my favorite word: "fabulous". Catch up with you later! Stephanie

Oh you are too sweet for doing this Em! :)

I have writers/phraser's block...but have come up with one thing:

"Life is too short, live it well"

and I like Inaless idea about using their child's fave phrases/sayings...so here's Brooklyn's: "I'm too busy" (for example, when you ask her to cleanup her toys) heheh!

Hello!! Ok, so I had a wee think, and what I came up with is a bit cheesy, but something that means a lot to me in many ways :)

'I wish....'

'I was with you.'

Okay! Cheese, right??? Lol!

Not sure if it will fit -

I heart Beavers (preferably with a little heart). Yes there is a story to it. I will share if I win ;)

I have the right to bare arms.

Oh la la! Luv your stuff. I came up with 3 PERFECT ideas in the middle of the night tending to my 7 month old, and in the morning could't recall a single one. So I came up with these instead

My Mom line....
"Because I said so, that's why"....

susie said...

OK - everybody totally took, "because I said so" - so I'm going to have to go with

I'm the boss applesauce (if it fits - or maybe just even the word applesauce). I hate this phrase which is weird, because I find myself saying it often to my kiddos.

My best friend told me I should go with "wackadoo" because I apparently say that a lot, and it has become a Susie word.

Mom said...

Cuz...that is why!

I recalled one of my light night ideas...

high flyin'

cause thats how we roll! and it seems that more often than not I serenade my poor child with 'your a grand old flag', it is perpetually stuck in my head. Maybe she will be extra patriotic.

Melissa said...

Just thought of my younger brother's line - If I can, I want to! That is something that stuck since he was little.

eek i just about missed the deadline...

I know we both agree that I cannot win such a give away due to the fact that I make my own jewelry...but that doesn't matter because I already own a brooch with my favorite phrase upon it! HOWDY cannot be beat:)

And.

You're a dish...in case Gabe didn't tell you yet today:)

LOVEses Youes.
